About our name...

Tara Hill is not a person. It is a place in Co. Meath, Ireland where the High Kings of Ireland were crowned. Although nowhere near the physical centre of the island, it is said that you can see all four coasts from its summit, and it was considered the spiritual centre of Ireland. It is also said that when Brian Boru was crowned upon the Stone of Fal at the top of Tara Hill, the stone screamed out, verifying his right to rule. (And yes, this is also where the O'Hara's got the name of their plantation in 'Gone With the Wind')
