Remember when the Rider Waite seemed to be the only Tarot deck available? While it is still very popular deck, over the years consumers have become more educated and demanding, and publishers have responded with literally hundreds of Tarot decks of all sizes, shapes and designs.

The same trend is starting in the world of runic divination. While many beginners start out with mass-produced ceramic sets, most become dissatisfied and start looking for runes with a warmer, more personal feel. There is considerable controversy about the accepted interpretations of the Ogham runes, as well as their possible relationship to the Norse / Germanic runes. We do know that numerous Ogham inscriptions on stone have been found in the British Isles dating from the 5th to the 8th centuries, and that early literary sources describe their use in divination.

Celtic Ogham Staves

 The Ogham alphabet was used in Ireland and the British Isles for both inscriptions and divination, and was said to have been used by the Druids themselves. After many years of research and product development, we are proud to introduce these unique divining staves to you.

Each set of 25 oak wood staves (sticks) includes a cloth carrying pouch and a 28 page instruction booklet by Colleen Whittaker, which details the history and meanings of these mysterious symbols. Sets may now be purchased either alone, or beautifully packaged in a birch wood box.
