Runic Talismans

In ancient times, the use of runes for magic was just as important as their use in divination. And while everyone has their own unique reasons for wanting magical assistance in their lives, some concerns such as love, success and protection are as universal today as they were centuries ago.

Each of these beautiful pendants is made from a different wood, chosen for it's unique magical energy. They are inscribed with combinations of runes designed to aid in various magical purposes. Each one comes with an adjustable leather thong, and a complete explanation of the meanings of the runes used.

Single Rune Pendants

Due to popular demand, we are now offering wood pendants with your choice of any of the 24 Elder futhark runes, carved on your choice of any of our nine woods (or you can leave that up to us). Each pendant includes an adjustable leather thong and a tag showing the meaning of the rune. (keep in mind that the meanings shown here are greatly simplified. Please check 'The Runic Journey' website for more detailed meanings of the runes.)

Did You Know...

The use of runes for talismans is well documented. If you would like to see some historical examples from Bergen, Norway, there is an extensive online database of finds from the Medieval period. Most are on wood.
